„Case No 16. Elements of Fear (5 Ways to End the World)“ focuses on existing sci-fi movies that result in the extinction of humankind. These doomsday plots are combined with the effects of climate change which are surprisingly under-presented in films. Concluding that it’s somehow easier to fear a world’s end caused by something distant as aliens, rather than something real like an ecological catastrophe. Even if our imminent demise in movies isn’t the outcome of our ecological ignorance, presumably the end won’t be as improbable and explosion-driven as the film industry leads us to believe.
